Jill McGowin has more than 17 years of experience in literacy education. Ms. McGowin earned a Masters from UTSA and holds teaching certifications in Secondary English (6-12), Secondary Speech Communication (6-12), ESL (EC-12).  She is a member of both the New Jersey Writing Project and the National Council of Teachers of English. In 2000, Jill was named a Master Reading Teacher (MRT). She specializes in helping students with ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other disorders achieve reading fluency and comprehension.

Ms. McGowin was a featured speaker at the National Reading Association’s International Convention and has worked as an Adjunct Professor with both UTSA and North West Vista College. Before joining Bonus Points, Jill traveled the United States as Scholastic Educational Services’ literacy consultant. Ms. McGowin’s passion is helping students achieve academic and personal goals by improving organization, developing good study skills, and sharpening test-taking strategies.
