Before joining Bonus Points, Barbara Stern served as Incarnate Word High School's Dean of Students (1996-1998) and Mathematics Department Chair (1983-1988). She also chaired the Mathematics Department at St. Mary's Hall (1989-1994). In 2009, Barbara retired with more than 30 years of classroom teaching experience.

Mrs. Stern is a graduate of Stanford University with degrees in English and Mathematics. In 1961, Harvard University awarded her a Master of Arts in Teaching. In 1986, Barbara completed a post-graduate Statistics course at Stanford. Mrs. Stern is a current member of the National Council Teachers of Mathematics and the Mathematical Association of America. She served on the Alamo District Council of Teachers of Mathematics from 1980-1989.

Barbara teaches all levels of high school Math.
